Quds Bank launches a campaign for Western Union Transfers during the holy month of Ramadan

 

Ramallah – 28/06/2014 – Quds Bank has launched today a campaign for the users of Western Union Money Transfer service, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

The campaign is based on the Bank’s principle of sharing the incoming and outgoing transfers’ returns from its branches or sub-agents to help needy families and offer them support by distributing food parcels to them, on the 10th and 20th of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr, in coordination with officials and concerned parties in the areas wherein the food parcels are being distributed, to ensure transparency and credibility.

In a commentary made by Quds Bank General Manager, SameehSubaih, he stated that: “Quds Bank seeks to establish its social responsibility during the holy month of Ramadan, within this campaign, towards needy families. He also added by saying that: “we felicitate the Palestinian people on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and may Allah bless us and grant us our wishes and independence. We, at Quds Bank, are very aware of our role in the community and our social responsibility towards our people of various segments and sectors, and our responsibility increases, during the holy month of Ramadan, towards needy families. Therefore, we believe that it is our obligation to launch a campaign during the month of Ramadan so that good shall pervade”.

It is noted that Quds Bank has 26 branches and 16 sub-agents for Western Union Transfers in the various governorates of the country. Western Union service is distinguished by the possibility of sending and receiving money rapidly at a speed not exceeding minutes and without the need for a bank account, in addition to the fact that there are no commissions on receiving money. Moreover, Quds Bank is considered one of the few Palestinian bankswhich present their customers with this service.

It should also be noted that this campaign is effective as of the beginning of the month of Ramadan and until after Eid Al-Fitr.
